Mohegan Sun Hotel and Casino hosted the 15th annual Sun Wine & Food Fest from January 26-28th. As one of the largest casinos in the United States and a top destination in Connecticut, Mohegan Sun continues to allure visitors with its world-class entertainment. This fun-filled festival spanned the weekend with a packed itinerary for foodies and beer/wine enthusiasts. Over 10,000 guests in attendance enjoyed a variety of delicious events to satisfy every palate at the premium venue.
One of the main highlights was the Grand Tasting on Saturday afternoon. Attendees sipped and sampled over 1,000 wine, beer and specialty spirits from industry vendors. Hospitality professionals showcased their offerings providing expert knowledge on region, history and flavor for each selection. Celebrity chefs gave cooking demonstrations throughout the day followed by an audience participation question and answer session. Renowned chef, Rocco DiSpirito was available onsite to autograph his two cookbooks: Rocco’s Healthy + Delicious and Flavor.

The Grand Tasting signature event was just one of the many choices in an exciting lineup offered throughout the weekend including: Bourbon Tasting, Divine Delights dessert and wine pairings, Vintage Cru featuring elite vintage wines from around the world, Celebrity Chef Dine Around serving food and wine pairings accompanied by celebrity chef prepared dishes, and Sunday Brunch with Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg.
