Now in its 16th year, New York City Wine & Food Festival is one of the largest food and wine festivals around. With over 80 events city-wide, foodies come gather to eat, drink and feed NYC. Last weekend, nearly 50,000 attendees hit up the Big Apple for the ultimate culinary celebration. The four-day festival that works in collaboration with the Food Network donates to God’s Love We Deliver. With proceeds going to support New Yorkers in need, there’s nothing better than a delicious extravaganza for a good cause. “We are grateful for everyone who came out to help us celebrate our sweet 16. We took great pride in offering a Festival lineup that celebrated diversity through our events, talent, restaurants, and venues, while also delivering world-class wine, spirits, food, and unique experiences in support of God’s Love We Deliver,” noted Lee Brian Schrager, Festival Founder & Director. “Not only do we believe that every New Yorker deserves access to fresh and nourishing meals, but we also believe NYCWFF serves as a vital platform to uplift and celebrate the diverse New York hospitality industry while connecting key chefs, culinary leaders, and all New Yorkers to this worthy charitable cause.”
One of the most popular events is the Blue Moon Burger Bash hosted by Rachel Ray. The event took place on Pier 86 under the Intrepid Aircraft Carrier and Museum. Nearly 25 restaurants battled it out to be awarded the best burger. Guests tasted juicy, mouth-watering samples of America’s beloved comfort food during the evening filled with Pat LaFrieda meat, live music and libations. With unlimited tastings available, the strategy was to taste one bite from each competitor. Guests were given a token upon entry to vote for the People’s Choice burger while a panel of celebrity judges picked their preference. These restaurants mean business when it comes to serving up the best burgers in town, but the winning burger chosen was from Mel’s Butcher Box from New Jersey.
The Burger Bash is a personal favorite and known to be one of the most iconic walk-around tastings offered. This event is part of an impressive line up during the four-day festival. Start planning your trip to this foodie paradise for October 2024. For more information visit:https://nycwff.org/
